NOVELTY - Preparing graphene 3D micro-patterns by optical carving by directly burning on graphene oxide film using a consumer-grade light engraving DVD burner, is claimed. USE - The preparing graphene 3D micro-patterns by optical carving is useful for guiding nerve cell growth (claimed) and cell culturing substrate to directly support cell attachment, growth and alignment. ADVANTAGE - The method has simplicity and speed, is easy expansion, and economical and takes only 20 minutes or less to produce a custom graphene 3D pattern on a disc with wafer-level (approximately 100 cm2) dimensions ranging in size from decimeters to micrometers (or even nanometers).
