NOVELTY - Halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch comprises 40-50 pts. wt. nylon 6, 10-20 pts. wt. glass fiber, 4-10 pts. wt. interface directing agent, 5-11 pts. wt. graphene carrier, 6-10 pts. wt. shell powder flame retardant, and 1-3 pts. wt. lubricant. The preparation of shell powder type flame retardant includes (i) passing shell powder into deionized water for ultrasonic dispersion for 10-20 minutes, the ultrasonic power is 100-500 W, washing with water, drying, and grinding to 100-200 meshes, then adding to 10-20 pts. wt. barium nitrate solution with a mass ratio of 5%, 1-5 pts. wt. cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, 1-2 pts. wt. n-octyltriethoxysilane in a modified liquid, stirring, washing with water and drying to obtain modified shell powder, (ii) mixing flame retardant and modified shell powder in a mass ratio of 1:3 to obtain a composite agent, and (iii) passing compounding agent into ethanol solvent with a total amount of 3 times. USE - The halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch is useful in electronics, electrical appliances and communications (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The masterbatch: provides glass fiber reinforced nylon with improved flame retardant effect and auxiliary flame retardant effect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch comprises 40-50 pts. wt. nylon 6, 10-20 pts. wt. glass fiber, 4-10 pts. wt. interface directing agent, 5-11 pts. wt. graphene carrier, 6-10 pts. wt. shell powder flame retardant, and 1-3 pts. wt. lubricant. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch comprising adding raw materials to mixer for mixing treatment, mixing, and passing to twin-screw extruder for extrusion to obtain halogen-free flame retardant masterbatch.
