NOVELTY - Preparing a three-dimensional graphene powder material, comprises taking a carbon-based material powder as a growth substrate, heating to a growth temperature in an inert atmosphere, introducing a reaction gas, growing the graphene sheet on the surface of the carbon material powder, where the growth time is 1-4 hours, cooling to room temperature to obtain three-dimensional graphene powder material, where the growth temperature is less than or equal to 900 degrees C and the reaction gas includes hydrogen and methane. USE - The three-dimensional graphene powder material is useful as conductive agent in the lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: solves two dimensional graphene agglomeration; is simple and economical; utilizes abundantly available raw materials; improves cycle performance and rate performance of battery. The material has high conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for three-dimensional graphene powder material obtained by the method as mentioned above.
