NOVELTY - Covalent functional graphene has a functional group (1-60 %mass) covalently connected with graphene. USE - Used as a covalent functional graphene is used in electronic field. ADVANTAGE - The covalent functional graphene has excellent solvent dispersion property and conductivity, and is easily produced by simple method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Covalent functional graphene has a functional group (1-60 %mass) covalently connected with graphene, and is of formula (I). R1,R2 = 1-100C alkyl, naphthenic base, alkoxy, alkyl amino, alkyl acylamino, alkyl ketone, alkyl disulfide, alkyl silicon, alkyl phosphate, alkyl halide, optionally substituted pyridyl, optionally substituted phenyl, phenoxy, phenyl ketone, phenyl sulfhydryl, optionally substituted anthryl, optionally substituted naphthyl, optionally substituted pyrenyl or optionally substituted pyrenyl; and R3 = R1, R2, hydroxy, carboxy, primary amino, secondary amino, tertiary amino, quaternary ammonium salt, bromo, chloro, iodo, sulfydryl or dithiocarbonate. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparation of covalent functional graphene, which involves adding 1 part weight of oxidized graphene and 0.1-100 parts weight of azido-containing substance to a reactor, reacting for 0.1-72 hours at 100-220 degrees C, filtering, centrifuging and washing.
