DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A copper-cadmium-metal organic framework (MOF)/graphene oxide (GOx) composite material with visible light catalytic degradation performance comprises copper-cadmium-metal organic framework material and graphene oxide which are combined with each other through hydrogen bonds. The copper-cadmium-metal organic framework material comprises a copper-cadmium-containing compound of formula: {Cu2Cd2(pmida)2(H2O)73H2O}n (I), a copper-cadmium-containing molecular structure of formula (II) and copper and cadmium metal-ion in bulk. The asymmetric unit of copper-cadmium-metal organic framework contains 2 deprotonated organic ligands pmida4-, 2 copper ions, 2 cadmium ions, 7 coordination water molecules and 3 lattice water molecules. x = more than 0 to less than 10. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: preparation of the composite material with visible light catalytic degradation performance, which involves (s1) dissolving copper acetate, cadmium acetate and N-(phosphonomethyl)iminodiacetic acid in ultrapure water, ultrasonically mixing them, slowly adding graphene oxide to the solution system and ultrasonically treating for 20-30 minutes, and (s2) transferring the mixed solution obtained in the step (s1) to a high-pressure reactor with a PTFE lining, reacting in an oven, after natural cooling, filtering, washing, and drying; and Usage of the composite material under visible light condition, for photocatalytically degrading methylene blue, congo red, methyl orange, rhodamine B and levofloxacin.
