▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Slurry type samarium vanadate (SV)/fluorine doped graphene (FG24) photocatalyst comprises SV nanoparticles immobilized on FG24. USE - The photocatalyst is useful in slurry type photo-reactor for wastewater treatment or water purification (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalyst: exhibits high surface area and dispersion of SV/FG24 (the zeta potential of SV/FG24 was below -22 mV at pH 7 and can attain the value of -30 mV at pH 12); is reusable; enables 95%, 98%, 90%, 96% and 100% reduction in the cell viability of Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica bacteria under visible light; utilizes SV/FG24 that has high dispersibility, recyclability and thermal stability; is cost-effective; has great potential and high efficiency by using sunlight; allows for complete mineralization of phenolic compound in 10 hours with synergistic effect of both adsorption and photocatalytic process; and completely eliminates all kinds of pathogenic microorganisms from water. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing slurry type SV/FG24 photocatalyst, comprising (a) preparing FG24 by sonochemical exfoliation, and (b) immobilizing SV nanoparticles on FG24 to prepare SV/FG24 photocatalyst.
