NOVELTY - A cable insulating material comprises 10-20 pts. wt. basalt fiber, 0.001-0.003 pt. wt. graphene, 10-20 pts. wt. silicone rubber, 50-70 pts. wt. polyethylene, 5-12 pts. wt. modifier and 0.1-0.5 pt. wt. crosslinking agent. The modifier comprises hydrogen peroxide and organic acid in the mass ratio of 2-4:1-3. USE - Cable insulating material used in high temperature and high voltage applications. ADVANTAGE - The cable insulating material has excellent insulation resistance, puncture resistance, and effectively improves the cable quality. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the cable insulating material, which involves preparing modified basalt fiber using the basalt fiber and modifier, mixing graphene, extruding mixture to obtain an intermediate, mixing the intermediate with the remaining raw materials and extruding.
