NOVELTY - Amino acid grafted graphene oxide filler comprises L-lysine, L-tryptophan and graphene oxide. USE - Filler useful in aqueous epoxy zinc-rich paint for preparation of anticorrosive coating (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The zinc-rich paint has simple preparation process, excellent stability, strong adhesion and long-term anti-corrosion performance, is green, environmentally-friendly, and is suitable for heavy-duty anti-corrosion application. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a preparation method of amino acid grafted graphene oxide filler, involving (i) mixing L-lysine, L-tryptophan, sodium hydroxide and water, stirring and dispersing, and placing in ultrasonic water bath to obtain a composite amino acid solution, (ii) mixing the composite amino acid solution with graphene oxide, stirring and dispersing, and placing in ultrasonic water bath, stirring and dispersing to obtain a graphene oxide dispersion, and (iii) filtering the graphene oxide dispersion, washing, and drying to obtain the product; (2) an aqueous epoxy zinc-rich paint, comprising zinc powder, aqueous epoxy resin, aqueous epoxy curing agent, propylene glycol methyl ether, talc powder, amino acid grafted graphene oxide filler, modifier, additive and water, where the modifier comprises polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyanionic cellulose and/or hydroxymethyl cellulose; and (3) a method for preparing aqueous epoxy zinc-rich paint, involving (I) mixing and stirring aqueous epoxy resin and aqueous epoxy curing agent to obtain a mixture (A), (II) mixing and stirring the mixture (A) and propylene glycol methyl ether to obtain mixture (B), (III) mixing the mixture (B) with additive, zinc powder, talc powder, and modifier to obtain mixture (C), and (IV) mixing the mixture (C) with the amino acid grafted graphene oxide filler and water and stirring to adjust the viscosity of the coating to obtain the product.
