NOVELTY - Preparation of silicon oxide composite material involves granulating and calcining mixed material. The mixed material is a mixture of premixed material of a metal oxide and a carbon source and a mixture of silicon oxide. The particle size (D50) of the premixed material is ≤5 nm. The particle size (D50) of the mixed material is ≤100 nm. The particle size of the mixed material is larger than the particle size of the premixed material. The metal oxide comprises one or more of lithium titanate, niobium pentoxide and vanadium pentoxide. USE - Preparation of silicon oxide composite material used as negative electrode active material in lithium-ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The preparation method has low production cost, high production safety, convenient operation, and is easy to be used in large-scale mass production. The prepared silicon oxide composite material has a lower expansion rate, can ensure the electric capacity of the battery after being used in the battery, and has better cycle performance.
