NOVELTY - A silicon oxide composite material comprises graphene loaded with silicon oxide and has a bamboo leaf-shaped structure. The mass ratio of the graphene in the composite material is not greater than 30%. USE - The silicon oxide composite material is used in lithium ion battery (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the composite material comprising ultrasonically dispersing graphite oxide in absolute ethanol; stirring silicon oxide in absolute ethanol and ultrasonically dispersing; stirring and dissolving aqueous adhesive in absolute ethanol; mixing prepared solutions and stirring; hydrothermal reacting at 160-180 degrees C for 4-10 hours; filtering, separating, and washing with deionized water and absolute ethanol; and freezing and drying.
