NOVELTY - High barrier polypropylene/nylon complex material comprises 48-90 wt.%, preferably 60-80 wt.% polypropylene, 2-20 wt.%, preferably 5-10 wt.% nylon, 2-10 wt.%, preferably 3-8 wt.% graphene premix, 5-20 wt.% elastomer, 1-10 wt.% solubilizer, and auxiliary package comprising 0.01-2 wt.%, preferably 0.2-1 wt.% lubricant, and 0.1-2 wt.%, preferably 0.2-1 wt.% antioxidant. USE - The polypropylene/nylon complex material is useful in polymer material product as raw material in the fields of automobile pipelines, gas storage tanks, gas pipelines, food packaging materials, and steam transportation (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polypropylene/nylon complex material: has high barrier properties against small molecular gases (including hydrogen and nitrogen), and improved the wear resistance and scratch resistance of the complex material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing the polypropylene/nylon complex material comprising (i) mixing the graphene premix with polypropylene, elastomer, solubilizer, and auxiliary package to obtain mixture, and (ii) adding obtained mixture to a main feed port of a twin screw extruder, adding nylon to the side feed port of the twin screw extruder, and performing extrusion granulation.
