NOVELTY - Preparing graphite phase carbon nitride-based two-dimensional composite photocatalytic material comprises (1) mixing the first precursor mixture carbon dioxide, graphene oxide and graphitic carbon nitride dispersion to obtain second precursor mixture, (2) drying the second precursor mixture to obtain carbon dioxide and graphene oxide/graphitic carbon nitride solid, and (3) performing thermal reduction treatment of carbon dioxide and graphene oxide/graphitic carbon nitride in an inert atmosphere to obtain carbon monooxide-reduced graphene oxide/graphitic carbon nitride catalyst, i.e. the graphite phase carbon nitride-based two-dimensional composite photocatalytic material. USE - The composite photocatalytic material is useful in the catalytic field (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple and economical; enhances the visible light catalytic activity of the catalyst; and adjusts the ratio of synthesis gas in the catalytic product.
