NOVELTY - Direct and rapid electrochemical detection of trace amounts of mercury ions involves taking graphene and dimethyl sulfoxide, ultrasonically dispersing, adding carboxyl graphene and coupling agent, reflux heating at 50-90 degrees C for 0.5-6 hours, adding thiazole derivative, reacting continuously for 2-8 hours, washing, vacuum drying, ultrasonically dispersing, coating to polished glassy carbon electrode, drying to obtain modified glassy carbon electrode and detecting using modified glassy carbon electrode as working electrode and saturated silver/silver chloride electrode as reference electrode. USE - Method for direct and rapid electrochemical detecting trace amounts of mercury ions (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method uses working electrode with high sensitivity, wide linear range and low detection limit. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Direct and rapid electrochemical detection of trace amounts of mercury ions comprises taking graphene and dimethyl sulfoxide at mass ratio of 1:0.1-100, ultrasonically dispersing for 5-60 minutes, adding carboxyl graphene and coupling agent at molar ratio of 1:1-1000, reflux heating at 50-90 degrees C for 0.5-6 hours, adding thiazole derivative, reacting continuously for 2-8 hours, centrifuging, washing, vacuum drying to obtain functionalized graphene, ultrasonically dispersing to obtain 0.1-1 mg/L dispersion, coating 3-15 mu L drops to polished glassy carbon electrode, drying at room temperature to obtain modified glassy carbon electrode and detecting using modified glassy carbon electrode as working electrode, saturated silver/silver chloride electrode as reference electrode, platinum plate electrode as auxiliary electrode and liquid phosphoric acid as test substrate. Molar ratio of thiazole derivative and coupling agent is 1:0.5-2.
