NOVELTY - Lithium-sulfur battery cathode material comprises composite of reduced-state graphene oxide and mesoporous tin dioxide and elemental sulfur, where mesoporous tin oxide is deposited on reduced graphene oxide and mesopores of mesoporous tin dioxide contained elemental sulfur. USE - Lithium-sulfur battery cathode material. ADVANTAGE - The lithium-sulfur battery cathode material has large surface area of hole structure which is suitable for catching polysulfide and also good for deposition in complex, it reduces polysulfide shuttle, shuttle effect of lithium-sulphur battery, and has high coulomb efficiency. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing lithium-sulfur battery cathode material, which involves: (A) dispersing graphene oxide in a mixed solvent of alcohol and water to form a graphene oxide dispersion; (B) adding cationic surfactant, water-soluble hydroxide, and tin salt to graphene oxide dispersion and reacting at110-200 degrees C for 4 hours or more, preferably 4-16 hours to obtain product system, where cationic surfactant is selected from dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride, cetyltrimethyl Ammonium chloride, dodecyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, dodecyldimethylbenzylammonium bromide, and water-soluble hydroxide is selected from lithium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide and tin salt is selected from tin tetrachloride, potassium stannate and tin methane sulfonate; (C) performing solid-liquid separation of product system and washing separated solids distilling and drying to obtain composite of reduced graphene oxide and mesoporous tin dioxide; (D) mixing complex with elemental sulfur to obtain mixture, where weight ratio of complex and elemental sulfur is (0.1-99.99):1, preferably (0.1-1):1, more preferably 1:3; and (E) treating the obtained mixture in an inert atmosphere followed by heating at 120-220 degrees C and incubating for 2-40 hours to obtain lithium-sulfur battery cathode material.
