NOVELTY - Visible light active graphene-based photocatalyst having a repin compound (I) is new. USE - The visible light active graphene-based photocatalyst is useful in a biocatalyzer reaction for the production of NADH. ADVANTAGE - (I) can be economically, efficiently and simply produced in an environmentally-friendly manner. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Visible light active graphene-based photocatalyst having a repin compound of formula (I) is new. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) photochemical regenerating oxidoreductase cofactor using (I), comprising (a) performing light irradiation to a regeneration solution of redox enzyme cofactors that comprises methyl viologen, an oxidized form of redox enzyme, phosphate buffer solution, ruthenium (II) complexes and rhodium (III) complex sieve, which consists of one or more redox mediator; and (2) enzymatic production of formic acid from carbon dioxide using (I), comprising the step (a) as per above se.
