NOVELTY - Preparing protein modified reduced graphene oxide water lubricating additive comprises providing uniformly dispersed aqueous graphene oxide solution, uniformly mixing aqueous graphene oxide solution and the protein at 10-30 degrees C for 3-5 hours, forming a protein modified graphene oxide aqueous solution, uniformly mixing aqueous solution of the modified graphene oxide and the reducing agent at 10-30 degrees C for 3-5 hours. USE - The water lubricating additive is useful for preparing high-water-based lubricating fluid, hydraulic fluid, cutting fluid or cold rolling fluid (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The protein modified and reduced graphene oxide water lubricating additive: has excellent anti-wear and wear resistance; reduces friction, and wear performance of the water-lubricating medium, and energy consumption; and is environmentally friendly and has simple method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for protein modified reduced graphene oxide water lubricating additive is prepared by the above mentioned method; and #water-based lubricant comprising 0.005-0.1 wt.% protein-modified reduced graphene oxide water-lubricating additive.
