NOVELTY - Manufacture of graphene nanoribbon precursor involves carrying out Friedel Crafts reaction of acyl group of phthalic acid anhydride using benzene, producing 2-benzoyl benzoic acid, performing dehydration reaction of 2-benzoyl benzoic acid, producing anthraquinone, and obtaining anthracene dimer as graphene nanoribbon precursor by performing reductive coupling reaction of anthraquinone or anthracene trimer as graphene nanoribbon precursor by coupling reaction using an organolithium reagent. USE - Manufacture of precursor used for producing graphene nanoribbon for forming semiconductor for electronic device. ADVANTAGE - The method enables manufacture of graphene nanoribbon precursor, providing graphene nanoribbon with desired edge modification performance and reduced deviation in structure of precursor molecules.
