NOVELTY - Producing graphine oxide, comprises (a) reacting flake type graphite material, acid solution and oxidizing agent to produce oxidized graphene product, (b) removing the waste oxidizing agent and waste acid from the product to separate the oxidized graphene product, (c) washing the oxidized graphene product with a Taylor-Couette reactor, and (d) adding alcoholic solvent into the washed suspension and filtering the filtered suspension. USE - The method is useful for producing graphine oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces time, and is environmentally friendly.
