▎ 摘 要

NOVELTY - Matrix particle, comprises: (i) at least one matrix material, where the matrix is capable of fully or partially altering its physical characteristics; (ii) at least one susceptor component embedded in the at least one matrix material, and the susceptor component is capable of thermal activation through electromagnetic radiation; and (iii) at least one releasable and/or activatable ingredient embedded in the at least one matrix material and in proximity to the susceptor component, the releasable and/or activatable ingredient capable of impacting a chemical reaction. USE - The particle is useful for producing bulk reaction mixture, impacting a chemical reaction, preparing article including reinforced composite article, laminated article, rigid laminated article, flexible laminated article and foam and multilayer polymer composition including adhesive, sealant, coating, paint, ink, plastic, molded plastic, thermoset plastic, molded thermoset plastic, or other polymer forming compositions (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The particle: capable of thermal activation through radiofrequency or microwave radiation; remotes thermal activation or heating particles for ingredient release and activation, results the matrix to perform its function, e.g. in conducting chemical reactions i.e. polymerizations; reduces or eliminates need for higher molecular weight materials where high pressure is consequently required along with high temperatures, e.g. in injection molding and reaction injection molding and instead allowing for increasing of molecular weight while in process or within the mold, and on demand; have matrix materials that are of low molecular weight, thus providing uniform mixing of fillers and providing higher performance adhesion without unwanted rheological issues; and allows for less complex equipment and on-demand curing that simplifies material preparation, storage, packaging, and handling. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMs are also included for: preparing the matrix particle; impacting a chemical reaction; releasing a releasable ingredient from a matrix particle; bulk reaction mixture comprising the matrix particles; preparing article comprising matrix particle; composition comprising the matrix particle; and multilayer polymer composition comprising the first matrix particle, and additional matrix particles. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The figure shows schematic view of the process of the matrix particle.
