NOVELTY - An electrode comprises a cathode containing activated carbon and 8-12 wt.% graphene oxide, and an anode containing lithium and 1-4 wt.% graphene oxide. The graphene oxide present in the cathode and the anode as a binder is reduced through heat treatment. The energy density and power density between the cathode and the anode are balanced by increasing the energy density of the cathode and the power density of the anode. The electrode provides a power density of up to 62.5 kW.kg-1 and an energy density of 112 Wh.kg-1. USE - Electrode for hybrid supercapacitor e.g. lithium-ion hybrid supercapacitor (LIHS). Can also be used for lithium ion batteries for electric vehicles. ADVANTAGE - The electrode has excellent electrochemical properties, and provides hybrid supercapacitor having excellent charge/discharge ratio and power density. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for manufacture of electrode, which involves preparing a material of the cathode and the anode, preparing a graphene oxide dispersion by exfoliating graphite, preparing a mixture by adding the material of the cathode and the anode to the graphene oxide dispersion, forming a coating layer on one surface of a current collector using the mixture by a vacuum filtration method, and heat-treating the coating layer to reduce graphene oxide present in the coating layer.
