▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber assembly consists of hollow center portion of fiber cross section, and is an aggregate of vapor growth carbon fiber which has a tubular graphene layer structure of two or more layers. The average fiber outer diameter of the carbon fiber is 10-300 nm, 70% or more of all the numbers of carbon fiber have hollow diameter of 2-20 nm, and hollow diameter to fiber outer diameter ratio of 1.4-20%. USE - Vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber assembly used as electrode material of lithium cell. Uses include but are not limited to additive of fuel oil and lubricating oil, electromagnetic wave shielding coating materials, electromagnetic wave shielding materials, capacitor materials, rolls, brake components, tires, bearings, lubricant, gearwheels, pantograph, electric wires, household appliances, vehicles, aircraft, and machines. ADVANTAGE - The vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber assembly produces composite material having reduced weight, improved thermal conductivity, electroconductivity, and improved toughness. The secondary battery having improved charging/discharging efficiency and improved lifetime is provided. The capacitor using the composite material has high output characteristics and excellent environmental resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) manufacture of the vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber assembly, which involves mixing carbon source containing methane, benzene and toluene, catalyst source containing ferrocene, co-catalyst source containing thiophene and hydrogen gas, introducing the source gas into a reactor, passing the source gas into a reaction zone maintained at temperature higher than the reaction zone (I), forming aggregate of the defect-carbon fiber by which the patch layer in which the thermally decomposed carbon atom precipitated in the shape of a patch is formed in the outer peripheral surface of a tubular graphene layer, heat treating in order to remove impurity component, and conversion to tubular graphene layer by recrystallization, and heat-processing in inert gas atmosphere. The source gas contains toluene/methane in the molar ratio of 0.05-10, the toluene/benzene in the molar ratio of 0.1-100, and 70 vol.% or more of hydrogen. The content of ferrocene is 1.0-10 %mass with respect to standard mass of toluene, and the content of thiophene is 0.5-2.0 %mass. The source gas is introduced in the reactor at 400 degrees C or less. The reaction zone (I) is maintained at 700-900 degrees C, and temperature of the reaction zone (II) is 800-1300 degrees C; and (2) composite material, which is obtained by dispersing the vapor phase epitaxy carbon fiber assembly in matrix which consists of resin, ceramics or metal.
