▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Use of a protective graphene coating for providing protection for two or three dimensional artwork or colored surface against color degradation, preferably fading, yellowing and discoloration, due to exposure to UV radiation or other radiation, is claimed. Protective graphene coating by applying the graphene coating on a glassy surface, which is placed between the artwork and radiation source, involves (a) depositing graphene on a at least one side of a supporting substrate to produce a graphene/substrate composite by chemical vapor deposition, (b) removing the substrate, or lifting the graphene from the substrate, and (c) depositing the graphene membrane on the glassy surface. The graphene/substrate composite includes a continuous graphene membrane formed on at least one side of the substrate. USE - Use of protective graphene coating for providing protection for screen, display case and transparent shield of two or three dimensional artwork such as museum, painting and art gallery (all claimed), and colored surface against degradation such as fading, yellowing and discoloration due to exposure to UV radiation. ADVANTAGE - The method economically and efficiently provides high protection to artwork from fading of color and penetration of moisture, oxygen and chemicals, and breakage using minimal quantity of graphene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the protective screen or display case, which comprises a glassy material, in which at least one surface is coated with the protective graphene coating. The glassy material is chosen from common glass, quartz glass or acrylic polymer, preferably poly(methyl meth-acrylate). The commercial glass is enhanced with anti-UV filter/coating/film or material used as display case or transparent protective shield, preferably museum and art gallery.
