▎ 摘  要

NOVELTY - Security thread element comprises: a first security thread element (100) and a second security thread element, where the first element has second substrate layer (108) made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin, a liquid crystal (LC) film (104) coated on the second substrate layer, the LC film has LC polymers, and a first substrate layer (102) on top of the LC film, an adhesive layer (106) that binds the LC film to the first substrate layer and the second security element comprises a metalized layer comprising film covered with metallic coating, demetalized layer formed by creating at least one clear zone in the metalized layer, and layer over the demetalized layer, the security thread element is formed by delaminating the second substrate layer from the first element and laminating the LC film of the first element onto a top surface of the layer of the second element. USE - The element is useful for high security papers e.g. banknotes and other security articles. ADVANTAGE - The element: has color shift properties through the LC layer and has increased complexity for more security; increases the shelf life, which may be stored for extended periods separately as rolls of first and second security element threads; increases the stability of the LC layer in the first security thread element which provides enhanced security which may further be enhanced by printing or coating other security elements e.g. magnetic elements, machine readable, light source readable, UV fluorescent pigments, magnetic print block and DNA taggant; provides an improved security element, in which the LC adheres to the PET material, without compromising on the color shift effect of LC and eliminates use of additional PET or liner.
