NOVELTY - A magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere is prepared by ultrasonically stirring and uniformly mixing graphene oxide powder and acetic acid solution, adding chitosan powder, ultrasonically stirring to completely dissolve to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution, weighing iron(II) chloride tetrahydrate into graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution, stirring to completely dissolve iron(II) chloride tetrahydrate to obtain different iron content of iron/graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution, dropwise adding into sodium hydroxide solution, standing and aging, filtering sodium hydroxide solution, washing of washing solution to neutral by deionized water to obtain wet magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere, putting wet magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere in glutaraldehyde-methanol mixed solution, slow oscillating crosslinking in shaking table, filtering, washing by ethanol-deionized water and drying. USE - The method is used for preparing magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere as adsorbent (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The microsphere is easy to obtain and environment-friendly, and has low preparation cost and good adsorption effect to arsenic (III) ion in water. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere is prepared by ultrasonically stirring and uniformly mixing graphene oxide powder and 1.5 vol.% acetic acid solution, adding chitosan powder, ultrasonically stirring to completely dissolve to obtain graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution, weighing 0.02-0.1 M iron(II) chloride tetrahydrate into graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution, stirring to completely dissolve iron(II) chloride tetrahydrate to obtain different iron content of iron/graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution, dropwise adding iron/graphene oxide/chitosan mixed solution into sodium hydroxide solution, standing and aging at room temperature for 12 hours, filtering sodium hydroxide solution, washing of washing solution to neutral by deionized water to obtain wet magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere, putting wet magnetic graphene oxide/chitosan composite microsphere in 5 wt.% glutaraldehyde-methanol mixed solution, slow oscillating crosslinking for 2 hours in shaking table, filtering, washing by ethanol-deionized water and drying.
