NOVELTY - A lithium supplement material comprises a lithium-containing compound and an inorganic non-metal reducing agent. USE - The lithium-containing material is useful in a lithium ion energy storage device (claimed) such as lithium ion battery, lithium ion capacitor and lithium ion fuel cell. ADVANTAGE - The lithium supplement material is compatible with the existing lithium ion energy storage device preparation technique and has air stability and actual operability. The material is low cost and suitable for mass production and can be widely applied to industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the lithium supplement material, which involves uniformly mixing a lithium-containing compound, an inorganic non-metallic reducing agent, and an optional conductive agent to prepare a lithium supplement materials, or uniformly mixing the lithium-containing compound and the inorganic non-metallic reducing agent, introducing the conductive agent precursor and reacting on the surface of the lithium-containing compound and the inorganic non-metallic reducing agent to form a conductive layer to prepare a lithium supplement material.
