▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - A coating composition comprises a polymer material comprising an electrically conductive polymer; and a coated or partially coated magnetic material comprising a magnetic material and antioxidant material, where the polymer material preferably includes a polyaniline, polypyrrole, polyacetylene, and/or polythiophene. USE - A coating composition used for a coated substrate (claimed) and for coating aircraft, spacecraft, watercraft, land vehicle, and satellite systems. ADVANTAGE - The coating composition can provide corrosion resistance and improved electromagnetic properties. The passivation of magnetic material (e.g., ferrite and/or carbonyl iron) with antioxidant material (e.g., cerium oxide) formulated in an electrically-conductive polymer provides a stable, corrosion-resistant coating composition useful for coating various substrates. The use of antioxidant material to at least partially cover (or encapsulate) the magnetic material minimizes, or eliminates, problems such as corrosion, oxidation, and decreased electromagnetic properties of the magnetic material. The use of antioxidant material promotes stability of magnetic material. The use of electrically-conductive polymer in the coating composition enables the coating composition to maintain excellent electromagnetic properties while being lightweight due to including less magnetic material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) making a coating composition which involves introducing, under first conditions, a magnetic material to a passivation solution comprising an antioxidant to form partially coated magnetic material; and introducing, under second conditions, partially coated magnetic material to a mixture comprising a polymer material to form a coating composition; and (2) coated substrate comprising a film comprising a coating composition that includes electrically conductive polymer, magnetic material, and antioxidant; and a substrate.
