NOVELTY - A battery apparatus has nanocarbon substrate including graphene and/or carbon nanotubes, and hybrid electrode including cobalt oxide/carbon nanotube catalyst and nickel-iron-layered double hydride catalyst. The hybrid electrode is configured and arranged to facilitate transfer of charge carriers with the nanocarbon substrate. USE - Apparatus for use in battery with hybrid electrocatalyst. ADVANTAGE - The battery apparatus has excellent charging/discharging characteristics. The catalyst used in apparatus for battery, has high catalytic activity and durability in concentrated alkaline electrolytes than noble metal catalysts. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for method of storing energy and discharging stored energy.
