NOVELTY - Synthesis of single stranded DNA/reduced graphene/cotton like platinum nanoparticles involves adding single-stranded DNA with graphene oxide, adding sodium citrate and sodium chloride, dispersing in water to get reduced graphene solution modified single-stranded DNA; adding glassy carbon electrode handle with reduced graphene solution modified single-stranded DNA; and taking glassy carbon electrode as working electrode, silver/silver chloride as reference electrode and platinum wire as counter electrode, and carrying out electrochemical deposition with mixed solution of chloroplatinic acid. USE - Method for synthesizing single stranded DNA/reduced graphene/cotton like platinum nanoparticles used in methanol fuel cell cathode material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method solves toxicity problem, and improves catalytic material and anti-drug resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Synthesis of single stranded DNA/reduced graphene/cotton like platinum nanoparticles comprises adding single-stranded DNA with graphene oxide at pyrolysis temperature, adding sodium citrate, reducing, adding solid sodium chloride, cooling precipitates, washing, centrifuging, dispersing in secondary deionized water to get reduced graphene solution modified single-stranded DNA; cleaning glassy carbon electrode handle, adding dropwise reduced graphene solution modified single-stranded DNA, drying, setting aside; adding solid chloride salt in chloroplatinic acid solution to obtain mixed solution of chloroplatinic acid; and taking glassy carbon electrode as working electrode, silver/silver chloride as reference electrode and platinum wire as counter electrode, and carrying out electrochemical deposition with mixed solution of chloroplatinic ac.
