NOVELTY - Zinc oxide graphene composite comprises zinc oxide crystallites that are about 0.1-12 mol.%, and graphene chemically bonded to the zinc oxide through bridging oxygen atoms, where the carbon content is about 75-98 mol.%. USE - The zinc oxide graphene composite is useful for article such as photocatalyst, sensor, capacitor, transparent conductive thin-film, conductive paint, and/or conductive polymer (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The zinc oxide graphene composite has hybrid material chemical property using graphene. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method of making zinc oxide graphene composite, involving combining graphene and zinc oxalate to form a mixture, and heating the mixture to produce the zinc oxide graphene composite; and (2) an article comprising the composite, where the article comprises photocatalyst, sensor, capacitor, transparent conductive thin-film, conductive paint, and/or conductive polymer.
