NOVELTY - A nanographene comprises one-layer graphene layer or multiple-layered overlapping graphene layers, and has diameter of 1-470 nm. The nanographene is obtained by apparatus having reactor (1), metal substrate (2) arranged in the reactor, heating unit (6) to heat the substrate, hydrocarbon supply unit to supply hydrocarbon, scraping-off unit which scrapes off carbon fiber (3) produced by vapor-phase growth on the substrate, collection receptacle (7) which collects the scraped-off carbon fiber, exhausting unit (8) which exhausts the gas in the reactor and dispersion-dismantlement unit. USE - Nanographene (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The nanographene has high purity and excellent stability and functionality. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A nanographene comprises one-layer graphene layer or multiple-layered overlapping graphene layers, and has diameter of 1-470 nm. The nanographene is obtained by apparatus having reactor which maintains reducing environment in inside of the container, metal substrate as a catalyst arranged in the reactor, heating unit to heat the metal substrate, hydrocarbon supply unit to supply hydrocarbon in the reactor, scraping-off unit which scrapes off carbon fiber produced by vapor-phase growth on the metal substrate, collection receptacle which collects the scraped-off carbon fiber, exhausting unit which exhausts the gas in the reactor and dispersion-dismantlement unit to disperse carbon fiber in a liquid phase, and to dismantle.
