NOVELTY - Method for manufacturing a graphene-based film on a substrate, involves (a) providing a laser source, a target material comprising carbon source which exhibits proper optical absorption at the laser source wavelength and a target substrate placed at a distance up to 10 cm from the carbon source, and selecting a laser fluence, a pulse duration, and a repetition rate of the laser pulse on the target substrate, (b) exposing the target material to the laser beam pulses to decompose the target material into fragments, and (c) depositing the fragments on the target substrate, characterized in that the carbon source contains chemical groups capable of providing propelling gases as a result of the laser assisted violent decomposition, and the propelling gases propel the fragments on to the target substrate. USE - The method is useful for manufacturing a graphene-based film on a substrate used for electrode for a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator device, energy storage system and supercapacitor (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method prepares the film which exhibits turbostratic structure, and ensures homogeneous coverage of the substrate by a graphene with a three-dimensional texture. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: an electrode for a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator device and an energy storage system, comprising a layer of the graphene-based film on the substrate manufactured by the above method; and a flexible triboelectric nanogenerator, where the impedance is ≤ 3 M~o.
