NOVELTY - A graphene oxide modified by polyethylene glycol and polyethylenimine, comprises graphene oxide, polyethylene glycol and polyethylenimine, where the polyethylenimine is branched structure; one end of six branches is respectively connected on the hydroxyl of glucose molecules, and the other end is amino group. USE - As gene transfection agent (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide modified by polyethylene glycol polyethylenimine can effectively and safely transfer the nucleic acid to the cells. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A graphene oxide modified by polyethylene glycol and polyethylenimine comprises graphene oxide, polyethylene glycol and polyethylenimine, where the polyethylenimine is branched structure; one end of six branches is respectively connected on the hydroxyl of glucose molecules, and the other end is amino group. The graphene oxide, polyethylene glycol and polyethylenimine are used as raw material, where first graphene oxide is prepared through the improved hummers method, and is conducted with ultrasonic processing for 5 minutes, and is added with polyethylene glycol and ultrasonic processing is continued for 5 minutes, and then is added with 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethyllaminopropyl)carbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) and ultrasonic processing is continued for 5 minutes, and then is added with polyethylenimine and ultrasonic processing is continued for 5 minutes, and then is added with EDC, the ultrasonic processing is continued for 20 minutes, and finally the reaction is conducted at room temperature with mixing and is conducted for 6 hours, and then the completely reacted material is filtered and washed for 3 times with filter membrane of 100 nm, thereby obtaining the graphene oxide modified by polyethylene glycol polyethylenimine, where the height of graphene oxide modified by polyethylene glycol polyethylenimine is 1-2 nm, and the size is 5-50 nm.
