NOVELTY - A solid-state high voltage battery (10) comprises a cathode (2), an anode (5), a catholyte solution (3) in contact with the cathode, an anolyte solution (6) in contact with the anode, and a separator arranged between the electrodes. The catholyte(s) or the anolyte(s) comprises an organic electrolyte, an ionic liquid electrolyte, or water in salt electrolyte, and is gelled. USE - Solid-state high voltage battery used in electric vehicle, grid-based applications, personal electronics and energy storage device.
