NOVELTY - A photocatalytic material comprises titanium dioxide/cadmium sulfide composite and graphene oxide in mass ratio of 100:1-5. USE - Photocatalytic material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalytic material has excellent visible light utilization efficiency, stability and corrosion resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of photocatalytic material, which involves dissolving cadmium chloride pentahydrate and sodium sulfide nonahydrate in deionized water, adding sodium sulfide solution and cadmium chloride solution, stirring for 1-3 hours, reacting at 140-170 degrees C for 8-15 hours, washing the resultant reaction product with deionized water and ethanol, drying, obtaining yellow cadmium sulfide powder, adding solution obtained by dissolving cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and tetrabutyl titanate in anhydrous ethanol, stirring at room temperature for 1-3 hours, reacting at 150-180 degrees C for 8-15 hours, cooling the resultant reaction product to room temperature, centrifuging, washing, drying, obtaining titanium dioxide/cadmium sulfide composite, adding graphene oxide dispersion, reacting at 160-200 degrees C for 10-15 hours, cooling the resultant reaction product to room temperature, centrifuging, washing and drying. The mass ratio of cadmium sulfide yellow powder, tetrabutyl titanate, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, ethanol and deionized water is 0.74 g:3 ml:0.05 g:30 ml:5 ml. The graphene oxide dispersion is obtained by dissolving graphene oxide in water in ratio of 10 mg:40 ml, and carrying out Hummer method. The mass ratio of titanium dioxide/cadmium sulfide composite and graphene oxide dispersion is 100:1-5.
