NOVELTY - The wavelength conversion unit (12) has a solid glass that contains silica as a main component, and a phosphor composition that contains a graphene quantum dot dispersed in the solid glass. The content of the graphene quantum dot is provided in the range of 0.0001 mass% to 1 mass% in the phosphor composition. The phosphor composition emits fluorescent light with a wavelength detectable by a light-receiving device against the excitation light in the UV region. The phosphor composition emits fluorescence at a wavelength of 400-470 nm to at least any wavelength of 170 to 380 nm wavelength. USE - Wavelength conversion unit for UV sensor (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The wavelength conversion component has high sensitivity, and efficiently converts UV light into visible light.
