NOVELTY - A magnetic additive and/or electroconductive additive for compounding into thermoplastic plastic to give plastic properties for shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiation has shielded electrical field and magnetic field. USE - Magnetic additive and/or electroconductive additive for compounding thermoplastic plastic e.g. polyamide, polyamide 6, polyamide 66, polyphenylene sulfide, polycarbonate, ABS, copolymers of PC and ABS for X-ray detectability of material obtained from thermoplastic plastic (all claimed) e.g. plastic housings for automobiles. ADVANTAGE - The magnetic additive and/or electroconductive additive has excellent shielding effect against magnetic fields and increases the shielding of the equipped plastic against magnetic fields. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for thermoplastic plastic, which comprises a compounded-in aggregate and has a shielding behavior in the magnetic and in the electric field of more than 20 dB in the case of material containing the thermoplastic plastic, with a wall thickness of 1-4 mm, preferably 2 mm. The compounded-in aggregate comprises a magnetic additive (A1) or a mixture of magnetic additives (A1) and (A2) or a mixture of a magnetic additive and an electroconductive additive.
