NOVELTY - Preparation of hydrophobic bamboo involves adding anhydrous ethanol, deionized water and ammonia to a beaker, stirring, adding ethyl orthosilicate to produce colloid, transferring the colloid and carbon dioxide loaded with graphene oxide to a reaction vessel, hydrothermally reacting, removing the bamboo blocks, washing with deionized water, placing in a vacuum oven for drying, mixing and stirring heptadecafluorodecyltrimethoxysilane and methanol, placing dried bamboo blocks in solution, stirring, removing bamboo, rinsing with methanol, and drying in vacuum oven. USE - Preparation of hydrophobic bamboo (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The bamboo blocks having excellent hydrophobicity are prepared.
