NOVELTY - Preparing composite nano-molybdenum disulfide water-soluble lubricant additive comprises (i) placing glucan powder and molybdenum disulfide powder with a mass ratio of 2:1 under inert gas atmosphere, allowing to stand under sealed condition, placing the resulting sample in a ball milling tank for ball milling under the condition of inert gas to obtain product i.e., modified molybdenum disulfide, marked as molybdenum disulfide-dextran (MoS2-Dex); and (ii) uniformly dispersing the MoS2-Dex and carbon material in aqueous glycerol system to obtain composite nano-molybdenum disulfide water-soluble lubricant additive, where the mass fraction of MoS2-Dex and carbon material in aqueous glycerol system is 0.34-1.33 wt.%, the mass ratio of MoS2-Dex to carbon material is (1-3):(1-3), where the carbon material is graphene oxide, graphene and/or fullerene. USE - Method for preparing composite nano-molybdenum disulfide water-soluble lubricant additive. ADVANTAGE - The water-soluble lubricant additive has excellent dispersion stability in water-soluble system e.g. aqueous glycerol, and good tribological properties in water-soluble systems e.g. aqueous glycerol. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for composite nanometer molybdenum disulfide water-soluble lubricant additive prepared by the above mentioned method.
