NOVELTY - Preparing magnetic oxidized graphene adsorbent comprises taking 3-9 g graphite powder, 3-9 g sodium nitrate, 20-40 g potassium permanganate, dissolving with ultra-pure water in the reaction vessel, setting of reactor, adding 500 ml ultra-pure water, reacting, placing in ice once in 20 minutes, carrying out suspension reaction, removing ice and adding tap water, heating, adding 500 ml of ultrapure water, reacting for 1-3 hours, adding 1000 ml ultra-pure water with stirring, adding 30-50 ml hydrogen peroxide, reacting for 2 hours, adding ultra-pure water to neutral and drying. USE - The magnetic oxidized graphene adsorbent is useful in removing hexavalent chromium from waste water (claimed). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing magnetic oxidized graphene adsorbent comprises taking 3-9 g graphite powder, 3-9 g sodium nitrate, 20-40 g potassium permanganate, dissolving with ultra-pure water in the reaction vessel, setting of reactor, adding 500 ml ultra-pure water, reacting at 0-10 degrees C with 180-220 rotations/minute for 4 hours, placing in ice once in 20 minutes, carrying out suspension reaction after 4 hours, removing ice and adding tap water, heating at 25-45 degrees C for 2 hours, adding 500 ml of ultrapure water, reacting for 1-3 hours, adding 1000 ml ultra-pure water with stirring, adding 30-50 ml hydrogen peroxide, reacting for 2 hours, adding ultra-pure water to neutral and drying. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for removing hexavalent chromium from waste water by using magnetic oxidized graphene adsorbent comprising taking hexavalent chromium wastewater, adjusting pH to 2-11 (preferably 2-5), adding 0.2-8 ml magnetic oxidized graphene to the waste water (preferably 5-8 ml), reacting at 15-45 degrees C for 1-12 hours (preferably at 35-45 degrees C for 8-12 hours) in a thermostat at 180 rotations/minute, separating magnetic oxide graphene with a magnet, removing of hexavalent chromium in wastewater.
