NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene hydrogel involves uniformly mixing graphene oxide dispersion and water-soluble reducing agent, obtaining graphene oxide mixed liquid, and irradiating graphene oxide mixed liquid with high-energy rays. USE - Preparation of graphene hydrogel used in preparation of graphene aerogel in adsorption of organic solvent e.g. liquid alkane e.g. n-decane, liquid aromatic hydrocarbon e.g. toluene, liquid alcohol e.g. n-butanol and ethanol, liquid carboxylic acid e.g. acrylic acid, liquid ester e.g. methyl methacrylate, edible oil e.g. soybean oil, diesel oil and kerosene (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple and environmentally-friendly preparation of graphene hydrogel under mild reaction conditions. The graphene hydrogel enables preparation of porous structured graphene aerogel having large pores and uniform structure. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of graphene aerogel; and (2) use of graphene aerogel in adsorption of organic solvent.
