NOVELTY - A winding-type carbon nanotube has a structure having a wound mono-layer of graphene. USE - As winding-type carbon nanotube. ADVANTAGE - The winding-type carbon nanotube has excellent designing property and stable structure. The carbon nanotube is wound easily using minimum amount of energy. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for manufacture of winding-type carbon nanotube. An alkali metal as catalyst is intercalated into the graphite interlayer of graphite material, to obtain a graphite lamellar compound. An unsaturated hydrocarbon is introduced into the graphite interlayer of graphite lamellar compound and polymerized, to obtain a polymer. The graphite material containing the polymer is immersed in a solvent. The polymer contained in the graphite material is removed by dissolving, and winding-type carbon nanotube consisting of wound mono-layer of graphene is obtained.
