NOVELTY - Curing (M1) a primer, comprises: mixing an epoxy monomer with diisocyanate; adding dimeric oxazolidine to the mixture of epoxy monomer and diisocyanate, where a diamine is formed after hydrolysis; curing the epoxy monomer and the diisocyanate with the diamine; and chemically binding the diamine to the epoxy monomer, where when all of the diisocyanate has been consumed the curing of the primer occurs. USE - The method is useful for curing primer, which is useful in self-stratifying anticorrosive coating (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: utilizes the some water scavengers to prevent siloxane formation inside the coating; and utilizes the primer monomer or polymer to provide barrier properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) a self-stratifying coating comprising a primer comprising difunctional bisphenol A/epichlorohydrin derived liquid epoxy resin, multi-walled carbon nanotube dispersion in solvent naphtha, a non-reactive polyamide thixotrope, metal particles and silane, a top coat comprising molecular sieve powder and a silane mixture, and a polyamide curing agent; and (2) a self-stratifying (M2) anticorrosive coating on an associated substrate comprising mixing together a photopolymerizable material, a solvent, a graphitic material, and sacrificial metal particles, adding a material that prevents polymerization of the photopolymerizable material inside the coating before, and immediately after, application on the associated substrate and adding a silane mixture.
