NOVELTY - The shield (10) has a shield that is provided with a layers formed of a high impact anti-ballistic Aramid material that is selectively configured between a stowed condition in which the layers are in contact with an adjacent layer. A deployed condition in which the plurality of layers are suspended in a spaced relation with a gap formed between the adjacent layer. A handhold is defined at a top end of the shield. A foothold is defined at a bottom end of the shield. A graphene coating is provided on the layers. A graphite layer is mounted between the adjacent layers. A sleeve is mounted along a top edge and a bottom edge of the shield. USE - Deployable ballistic shield for individual protection. ADVANTAGE - The portable shielding that removably attaches to a door and provides full body coverage from the head down to the ground is provided. The hinged sections enable a shape modification of the shield to provide both a lateral and a frontal protection barrier.
