NOVELTY - Preparing photocatalytic material i.e. 3D-reduced graphene oxide/manganese(IV) oxide aerogel comprises (i) dissolving manganese salt, ammonium salt and sulfate in deionized water to obtain mixed solution, stirring mixed solution, transferring the mixed solution to the reaction kettle, heating the reaction kettle in drying box to make the mixed solution react completely to obtain a reaction solution, cooling the reaction solution to room temperature to obtain black precipitate, performing centrifugation to black precipitate, washing, frozing into a block and then further freeze-drying to obtain manganese dioxide nanowires, (ii) soaking the manganese dioxide nanowires obtained in step (i) in phytic acid solution, adding ferric chloride solution into the phytic acid solution and continuing soaking and the concentrating of the phytic acid solution to obtain hydrophilic modified manganese dioxide nanowires USE - The photocatalytic material is useful for removing refractory organic matter in tail water (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The photocatalytic material: is stable; effectively recycled and can be used repeatedly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing photocatalytic material comprises (i) dissolving manganese salt, ammonium salt and sulfate in deionized water to obtain a mixed solution, stirring the mixed solution for 8-12 minutes, mixing well, transferring the mixed solution to the reaction kettle, heating the reaction kettle in drying box to make the mixed solution react completely to obtain a reaction solution, cooling the reaction solution to room temperature to obtain black precipitate, performing centrifugation to black precipitate, washing, freezing into a block and then further freeze-drying to obtain manganese dioxide nanowires, (ii) soaking the manganese dioxide nanowires obtained in step (i) in phytic acid solution for 5-10 minutes, adding ferric chloride solution into the phytic acid solution and continuing soaking for 1-3 minutes and the concentrating of the phytic acid solution to 20-50 g/l to obtain hydrophilic modified manganese dioxide nanowires and (iii) adding dry hydrophilic manganese dioxide nanowire powder into graphene oxide solution to obtain a mixed solution, stirring the mixed solution for 10-15 minutes, ultrasonically treating for 1-2 hours, stirring for 10-15 minutes, transferring mixed solution into the reaction kettle, placing the reaction kettle in drying oven for heating for completely reacting reaction solution, cooling the reaction kettle to room temperature to obtain hydrogel, washing the hydrogel, dialyzing in deionized water for 6-8 hours, freezing hydrogel frozen into a block and further freeze-drying to obtain 3D-reduced graphene oxide/manganese(IV) oxide aerogel.
