NOVELTY - Phase change material comprises 85-92 pts. wt. sodium acetate trihydrate, 3-5 wt.% cellulose and 5-10 wt.% organic silicon pouring sealant. USE - Phase change material for lithium ion battery thermal management system (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The phase change material has good shape stability, high thermal conductivity, large phase change latent heat, when applied to lithium ion battery thermal management system, it can effectively reduce the temperature of the battery module and improve the temperature uniformity of the battery module. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: 1. a method for preparing phase change material for lithium ion battery thermal management system, which involves adding sodium acetate trihydrate into the reaction container for sealing, heating and melting into liquid, sequentially adding cellulose and organic silicon pouring sealant, mixing uniformly, solidifying and forming to obtain the phase change material; and 2. a lithium-ion battery thermal management system comprises a battery thermal management component and a lithium ion battery module, where battery thermal management component is composed of the phase change material and is attached to the lithium ion battery module.
