NOVELTY - Preparing graphene aerogel comprises adding reducing agent to aqueous graphene oxide solution, carrying out ultrasonic treatment, then allowing to stand to obtain gel, subjecting the gel to solvent replacement, and drying. USE - The aerogel is useful for purifying air (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method: is simple and suitable for large-scale production; and produces product having low density and high elasticity, and contains amino groups, which can be used for efficient selective adsorption of gases e.g. formaldehyde and carbon dioxide.
