NOVELTY - Preparing functionalized graphene flame retardant involves completely dissolving graphene oxide in a solvent, then adding thionyl chloride and reflux the reaction, and cooling to room temperature for filtration, washing precipitated water obtained by filtration to neutrality, and then vacuum-drying to obtain an intermediate product, adding intermediate product and DOPO-HQ to a solvent, stirring and refluxing, cooling to room temperature, filtering, and drying the obtained precipitate to obtain a functionalized graphene flame retardant. USE - Method for preparing functionalized graphene flame retardant. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to prepare functionalized graphene flame retardant which reach the V-0 level, exhibits good flame retardant performance and thermal stability, and do not damage the mechanical properties of the material, in building materials, automobile interior parts and electronic products and other fields have broad application prospects.
