NOVELTY - The method involves adding carbon material, such as hard carbon, soft carbon, graphite, graphene, carbon fiber and carbon nanotube, and other additives, such as polymer, inorganic nano particles and metal particles, to a solvent and stirring to prepare a slurry. The preared slurry is poured into a carbon material film layer blank. The carbon material film layer blank is sintered under an inert atmosphere, such as nitrogen atmosphere and argon atmosphere, to obtain a carbon material film layer (5). The carbon material film layer is transferred to a metal lithium foil (3) by a pressure compounding to prepare a composite metal lithium cathode. USE - Method for preparing a composite metal lithium cathode of a lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The preparation process of the cathode is made simple and reduces the use of chemical solvents. The existing lithium battery production equipment can be used, and the process parameters can be adjusted. The metal lithium is stably protected.
