▎ 摘 要

NOVELTY - A water-based lubricant composition comprises 0.05-0.35 wt.% at least one di-alkali metal salt of a dicarboxylic acid, surface stabilized two-dimensional (2D) carbonaceous graphene particles with particle size of 3-10 nm and 0.001-0.003 wt.% surfactant(s). USE - Water-based lubricant composition is used in forging applications for metals (claimed) e.g. steels, aluminum alloys. ADVANTAGE - The water-based lubricant composition is environmentally-friendly which effectively prevents reduction in die-wear pattern which in turn reciprocally increases the rate of production and reduces high costs associated with frequent die replacements. The lubricant composition also offers superior mold release, anticorrosive and antioxidant properties. The two dimensional graphene used in the composition can drastically reduce the water rate and the coefficient of friction of lubricant. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of lubricant composition, which involves preparing a base lubricant, diluting with deionized water in the proportion of 1:5-1:20, preparing an inoculate of surface stabilized 2D graphene particles in deionized water with surfactant by treating a dispersion of graphene particles in deionized water with the surfactant at pH of 7-8 followed by ultrasonication, incorporating the prepared inoculate to the base lubricant and dispersing the resulting composite without particulate aggregate; and (2) forging process for metals, which involves applying the composition to forging dies , placing a metal between the dies, closing the dies under pressure, opening the dies and removing the forged metal.
