NOVELTY - A graphene oxide/carboxymethyl chitosan magnetic microsphere adsorbent comprises 20-25 mass parts graphene oxide nano-sheet dispersion, 20.5-31 mass parts carboxymethyl chitosan aqueous solution, 0.4-0.8 mass part magnetic iron(II,III) oxide, 10-15 mass parts glutaraldehyde aqueous solution, 150-180 mass parts liquid paraffin, 5.5-6.5 mass parts Span 80 (RTM: sorbitan fatty acid ester) and 0.5-0.7 mass part Tween 80 (RTM: polyoxyethylene ether sorbitan monooleate). USE - Graphene oxide/carboxymethyl chitosan magnetic microsphere adsorbent is used for adsorbing methyl orange dye in wastewater. ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide/carboxymethyl chitosan magnetic microsphere adsorbent removes more than 95% methyl orange dye in wastewater, and is easily separated by external magnetic field and reused after desorption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of graphene oxide/carboxymethyl chitosan magnetic microsphere adsorbent.
